What is the Hyperloop?
When the California “high speed” railroad was approved; a light bulb went off in Elon Musk’s mind. Flying is quick, but rather expensive while driving is time consuming with gas prices not decreasing any time soon. He believes that super sonic air travel is faster and cheaper. Among other attributes, the Hyperloop would be safer, more convenient, immune to weather, sustainability self-powering, resistant to earthquakes and not disruptive to others along the route (traffic). However, despite Elon’s firm belief in the Hyperloop, he is not leading the project directly.
What Will Happen?
When the developments of Hyperloop begin to make headway, things will begin to pick up steam. I say when rather than if, because it’s Elon Musk’s brainchild and he will make it happen. In
Short of figuring out real teleportation, which would of course be awesome (someone please do this), the only option for super-fast travel is to build a tube over or under the ground that contains a special environment.
